It's ideal when you need GPS input, but you have no signal or for development purposes.

Virtual GPS is a GPS simulator software. isPermaLink="false">http://blog.mrfjo.org/?p=9#comment-5

Very interesting, but i can't make the GPS working...
I use a laptop with Ubuntu Jaunty installed, and a HTC tytn II connected to the laptop with the USB cable (in this way I can also charge the PDA).
I setted GPS2Blue with those parameters:
GPS: COM2 (default, I've tried also with COM4)
Speed: 4800
TCP/IP Enabled, BT Disabled (the checkboxes)
BT Port: COM7 (I've tried also with 8, 9...)
Automatic runtime detection for the TCP/IP server settings
And then I've tried with socat -d -d -d -d tcp4-listen 31873 pty, so i can see the debug infos, but nothing happened...and there are only the /dev/pts/0 and /dev/pts/1 devices!
Thanks...

Very interesting, but i can’t make the GPS working…<br
